SPORT DOMINATES 2007 TV RATINGS
The enormous popularity of sport on Free TV is proven by the year-to-date program ranking, with the Rugby League, Tennis, AFL and Cricket securing the top 5 spots (refer to table below).
The highest rating program on television so far this year was the Rugby League Grand Final, attracting a combined average audience of over 3.7 million Australian viewers.

Looking at all sports over the year, the major sporting codes (AFL, NRL, Tennis, Cricket and Motor Sports) each reached at least 85 per cent of the Australian population.
