AFC Challenge Cup 2008:
A total of 20 national teams are taking part in AFC Challenge Cup 2008. DPR Korea, Turkmenistan, India & Myanmar will take part only in the final round of the tournament. The other 16 teams are grouped in 4 groups for the qualifying round. The four group champion will take part in the final round with DPR Korea, Turkmenistan, India & Myanmar. The date & Groupings for the qualificiation round are as follows:
Group A: Venue-Chinese Taipei, Date: 2-6 April, 2008
Teams: Sri Lanka, Chinese Taipei, Pakistan, Guam
Group B: Venue-Phillipines, Date: 13-17 May, 2008
Teams: Tajikistan, Brunei, Phillipines, Bhutan
Group C: Venue-Kyrgyzstan, Date: 5-10 May, 2008
Teams: Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Afganistan, Laos
Group D: Venue-Nepal, Date: 10-15 May, 2008
Teams: Nepal, Palestine, Cambodia, Macau
Final Round: The Venue & date is not yet decided.
